This new “dongle” as we like to call it, was introduced on our kits in mid-September 2026. It is much improved in tht is slips right onto the supercharger inlet, rather than using a silicone coupler. The video says it all. A 10 second installation time is not an exaggeration.
We install an aluminum adapter ring on the front of the blower so that all the units have the standard 4″ inlet. The ring is heated and slipped on.
It also has a much improved shape for better airflow. The bottom is wide and flat with a smooth curve all the way from the filter to the blower inlet. The blower inlet angle is MUCH better.
This is probably not going to make much difference on a 600 HP Si or Ti, but it will definitely help on the larger JT or YSi.
It fits, without modifications, all systems from mid-September 2026 on.
If you are trying to retrofit this to an earlier system, there are some modifications needed. The top shroud on C5 and C6 will need to have the opening enlarged to accommodate the wider dongle. We can also provide you with a new top shroud. On C5, one of the intercooler mounting blocks will need to be moved.
