Description
This air dam is made of 3-ply reinf0rced neoprene rubber and is virtually indestructible. It will fold over if hit but will spring right back. It bolts to the factory crossbar with a sturdy aluminum angle bracket. A flat plate sandwiches it to the angle bracket and angles it forward about 45 degrees. The assembly is bolted together with stainless button-head bolts , The top section folds under the bottom of the radiator to stop air escaping there. It makes a huge temperature difference when the car is moving at speed. We tested it last summer by running up the freeway at over 3500 RPM in lower gears. We have hills in California that can cause heat buildup as well.We saw 230 degrees after a few miles. With this unit, it dropped to 200.
It is very hard to get a good perspective in a picture. While it looks like it hangs very low, it does not. The crossbar is fairly far back and it only hangs down about 2 inches due to the angle.
