For standard or Methanol injected C5 and C6
The thin plastic MAF sensor used on 2001 - 2007 Corvettes is thermo-welded together and can actually come apart under high boost situations. This requires the purchase of a new one.
The A&A MAF Girdle will repair and reinforce the plastic MAF sensor. It bolts and permanently locks the two halves together, so it can never happen again.
The standard version is used without Methanol Injection while our new extended version allows you to place a Methanol Injection nozzle and IAT (Inlet Air Temperature) sensor downstream of the MAF sensor where it belongs. Besides saving or preventing a broken MAF, it's a strong, clean solution to the nozzle placement problem.
A&A filters are manufactured using a high flow washable, reusable cotton filter medium. Each filter is designed for maximum airflow in the limited space available.
Standard Features
C5 is a “Bottom Breather”. Incoming airflow is drawn in from under the car, rather than through a large grille opening as in later models. This requires a different approach as to how to get adequate airflow through the intercooler.
